We were requested to undertake the restoration of a garden sunroom for a customer in Broadstone.

It was a wooden frame construction and the customers wished it to remain so rather that replace with Upvc.

In the three images below you can see extensive rot in the existing main timbers had made it difficult for the solid plate glass sliding doors to slide correctly due to the sag in the main frame

We had to support the roof to carry out the restoration and prior to working on the support posts we rebuilt the exterior support wall.

You can see the posts have been cut back to solid timber prior to repair.

New timber has been grafted into the original pine posts complete with lead boots to prevent future water ingress

We then also carried out the same work to the hardwood frames and

also fitted new hardwood cills and lead flashings.

Below you can see the completed project with the wall rendered and painted, doors refitted and everything back and working as it should be.
